A Strong Friend-JESUS

Have you ever fealt that the whole world was against you?Realy sometimes it seems that way..The past few months things have happened in my life that has made me feel like that. However when I get this way,I have a Great Friend I always turn to.JESUS...Without Him I probably would not be able to cope.Jesus is always there to encourage me and no matter how bad things seem,He is always there to help me out..

The last few years I have come to realise that without Him I would have nothing...With Him all things are possiable...I know at times I dont understand why certain things happen, but I know it all happens so that He can strenghten me..

Thank You Jesus..I put my trust in you and know that you will guide me through my hard times..

An Awakening

Well here we are almost the end of January.Time sure flies.Ill be another year older in a couple of weeks.Well speaking of age, things seem to start to happen when you are heading towards sixty. On a recent visit to friends out of town I became ill and was hospitalised for four dayd.Something happened in my bowels and I had a heavy internal Bleed.I was rushed to the hospital and admitted and treated. The bleed wad stopped and I received two units of blood to replenish my system.People ask me if I was frightened? It happened so quickly that I never had time to get frightened. But now that I look back maybe I should of been. However I have a strong belief in GOD and I put it into HIS Hands and let Him look after it.He always makes the right decisions for me and I trust Him wholy.I feel good now and I will get more test done here at home and hopefuly Ill be ok. Well I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I cant wait for the warm weather to get here so that I can get involved in the Bluegrass scene again.Hope to see you all this summer...keep on picking ..Fungus

enjoy summer

Well here we are about half way through our short summer. The weather in our area(Maritimes Canada)has not been the best.Lots of cool temps.and rain. However its summer and we have to learn to live with what we get.Music especialy Bluegrass is still a big part of my life.I seem to be a bit more fussy as to what festivals or groups I want to see.Maybe Im maturing.Maybe Im just getting more choosy in my likes.I find now that I enjoy smaller festivals more than large ones.If I want to see a particular group or preformer ,I make plans and do that. Its intresting how our likes and dislikes change..One thing stays the same ,I still love music that is preformed to the best of the musicians abilities.I enjoy beginners as well as profesionals. The love for music will never fade for me..I may change the way I choose to listen to my music, but music still is my world.Lets hope that the rest of the summer will be a good one.I just want to ask you to get out and enjoy it...Keep picking and Ill see you all out there Fungus

Lets try to get along in music

Its hard to admit it,but people just dont get it.Music was made to be enjoyed, not argued over. Why cant we as musicians learn to respect each other .Why cant we all get along doing what we love to do play and enjoy our music.Be it Rock,Country,Bluegrass,Blues or whatever. Why cant we just enjoy it and not try to push our likes or dislikes onto others.Lets learn to be more appreciative of what music is... Think about what I have just said Im sure you will see that it makes sense Enjoy your music and the music of others and lets not be jealous if others do better than we do.Wish them success and good fortune....Fungus

Make music fun

The last few weeks have been hectic to say the least.Getting used to life back here and getting ready for the bluegrass season can be overwelming.I guess that my salvation in these times is music.Any one that knows me knows that I love all styles of music but country and bluegrass top the list.Ive learnt through experiance that as long as I can play music,I forget about my problems.Theres a reason for this.I have fun playing music. When Im having fun I dont worry about things.Thank GOD that He has provided me with this relief valve.Without it I would have exploded years ago.So for those of you out there that have problems(and who doesnt)maybe you should find out what youe relief valve is.Be it music or other hobbies use it to your advantage to relief the stress in your life by having fun..It cant hurt to try..My music is fun for me and this fun translates into a more easy way to enjoy life Think about what I have just said .HAVE FUN EVERYONE,it will only ease your stresses Ken

Fungus

Fungus Well I just returned from a 3 mo.stay in Florida.Whew thats better than snow.I also had the chance to attend a couple of good bluegrass festivals when I was there...I had lots of fun,but I sure did miss the friendly, trusting family type of feelings of Canadian bluegrass festivals.I suppose no one knows any one so trust is hard to imagine, but here at home trust and friendliness is everything.Dont get me wrong, the people were friendly, but only to a certain degree.Ihappy to say that Im looking forward to the festivals Ill attend here in New Brunswick,Nova scotia and maine...Hope to see you all out there.Looks like a good summer coming up enjoy it and have fun with blue grass
